This is on of the fastest ripping drives on the planet. I use 'Spin up disc' to achieve even higher speeds, because it takes a while to spin up. (My brother's drive, so I don't have a lot of experience with it.) |

This drive produces perfect files even with lots of possible speed problems. Some hardware sites reported problems when ripping at 40x, so I just keep it at 32x all the time, that's fast enough :) |

Very reliable, only sync loss was due to audible disc damage. Detected DAE speeds: 14X, 32X. Anything 14-32X works fine. Less than 14X yields 1X throughput. Actual throughput is ~6X at the inside edge to 16X+ at the outside edge. |
